Esquire & Esquire Network Present SHARP: The Man Event
SHARP’s mission is to introduce New York City to the best and brightest brands concerned with men’s style. Our pop-up style events showcase 50 brands representing fashion, grooming, gifts and decor alongside top-notch amenities provided by our notable sponsors and partners such as haircuts and shaves, grooming demos, shoe shines, gourmet coffee, ping-pong and other games, food, drinks and more.
SHARP is a destination where men don’t just buy style, they live it.
This website was created to promote the three day pop-up shop men's wear event that was created by Adam Eisenhut for Esquire and the Esquire Network. For those in the men's wear fashion industry this was the place to be seen. An exclusive VIP party kicked off the event on Friday, May 16th,2014. The following two days Sharp: The Man Event was open to the public May 17th and 18th, 2014
I attended the VIP party, which was fabulous. The two days opened to the public offered fashion savvy men to discover new brands in fashion and grooming. A pop-up event such as this was quite over the top wit complimentary services including haircuts and trims from Harry’s grooming stations, shoe shines from Allen Edmonds, skin-care demos from Birchbox- you'll never go to CVS again, and beverages provided by Intelligentsia Coffee. If you wanted to try utterly delicious vegan food you could stop by Chickpea & Olive, and then of course, there were the stylish clothes, shoes, and men's wear accessories.
Now those of you who have a preconceived idea of how software developers dress, might think this is not their type of event. But you are wrong. I happen to work for a progressive software firm where I am in charge of a team of coders who specialize in Sales Force integration for medical practices. Whether you refer to concierge medicine as boutique medicine, we are the folks who make such offices run smoothly by making sure all lines of communication between the doctors, their staff, patients, and third-party specialists, pharmacies, and labs are fast. We make sure that the concierge medicine marketing software our clients use apply CRM best practices to the marketing and management of their concierge practice. Since patients have high expectations of the customer service they’ll receive at a concierge practice, we make sure it happens. Because I meet with clients, I make sure I dress well. And where better to see the forward fashion trends than at an event like SHARP.
On this website (at the time) was the notice: Want to stay up-to-date on SHARP and be the first to know when our next dates are announced? Sign up for our email updates below. Well I did, but never heard about another event. But since the long-term goal of Sharp is to set up such pop up events biannually and in other cities like Los Angeles and Chicago, I should not have too long to wait, so I thought. But since this site's domain expired and th website disappeared totally from the WWW, I reassessed the chances of more events. Time went by...
Recently I discovered that the sharp-event.com domain had become available, so I bought it with the goal of recreating as much of its original content as possible from archived pages. I did not want someone else to purchase the domain and re-purpose the site for something that had nothing in common with the original Sharp-Event.com website. Since the site will not be exactly as you remember it, please be indulgent. I consider this version to offer more in the spirit of the original site and event rather than being strictly accurate.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PAGE CONTAINS SELECTED ARCHIVED CONTENT FROM THE ORIGINAL SITE and content from other sources.
